Paul Taylor Dance Company Archive

The Paul Taylor Dance Company Archive was created as part of a five-year Repertory Preservation Project (RPP), begun in 1992, which was initiated with an $850,000 NEA Challenge Grant. By creating the Paul Taylor Dance Company Archive, the Paul Taylor Dance Company took a step unusual in the world of dance: the company demonstrated its long-term commitment to preserving and documenting not only the history of Paul Taylor's choreography and of his company, but also a major segment of American dance history.

The PTDC Archive intends to A grant from the NHPRC (National Historical Publications and Records Commission, www.nhprc.gov) began in July 2010 and was conducted by the Winthrop Group, Inc. in coordination with the Taylor Foundation to provide access to the archival collections online.
